Fox House, Holwell offers spacious accommodation and hospitality in a tranquil Cotswold setting.
Enjoy the attention to detail you would expect to find in a luxury boutique hotel in a warm and welcoming private home.
Fox House is situated on the edge of Holwell, a tiny, peaceful, unspoilt village of Cotswold stone, set in rolling farmland and woodland, with a network of footpaths, by-ways and small lanes, radiating out in several directions. It's the perfect spot for walking and cycling and ideally placed as a base for exploring the Cotswold countryside.
Rooms are fresh, stylish and comfortable, with 100% cotton bed linen, flat screen tv, fridge, hair dryer, tea and coffee making facilities. The decor is a mix of antique and contemporary furnishings in restful, natural colours.
Our visitors have the benefit of a large sitting room, a sunny conservatory and a pretty garden, facing south. The dining room, warmed in winter by a cosy wood-burning stove, opens on to the terrace, with the garden and open fields beyond.
Breakfast is served in the dining room or conservatory. Great care is taken to provide the best of local ingredients from producers we know. There is always a selection of home-made extras, such as preserves, bread and biscuits, and fruit and freshly squeezed apple juice from our garden when in season. Dinner, either three or two courses, is also available by prior arrangement.
The facilities of Burford, with its shops, pubs and restaurants is five minutes away by car, and the Cotswold Wild Life Park approximately 15 minutes walk. There are many good pubs and restaurants we can recommend nearby.
Fox House Rooms are perfect for group bookings of up to 6 people, when you can have the use of a private suite of rooms, with its own front door.
